Kohima, 4 November (MTNews): In a significant announcement today, Nagaland Chief Minister Rio stated that the road from T Khel model village to the IG stadium Mereima, Kohima will receive increased funding and be overseen by NHIDCL to alleviate traffic congestion in the capital city. This development, according to him, will greatly benefit commuters from Wokha, Tseminyu, Zunheboto, and Mokokchung, as they can bypass the city center for added convenience. Rio made this declaration during the inauguration of the Multi-Level Car Parking facility at PR Hill, Kohima.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Rio also stressed the importance of implementing Building Bylaws in the city to reserve space for vehicle parking when constructing houses. He added, “Nagas want a rich lifestyle but remain poor because we have not fully exploited our resources and have no revenue.” He, therefore, urged the people to utilize the resources for revenue and jobs.
