Mokokchung, 7 November (MTNews): A coordination meeting was held by the Department of Social Welfare in Mokokchung, bringing together officers, coordinators, staff, and Anganwadi workers from six blocks in the district. The gathering aimed to discuss ongoing activities and challenges within the department.
The meeting, held at Aongza Ki, was held in the presence of Tosheli Zhimomi, the Director of the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Nagaland, Kohima as special guest. Chaired by I Mangliyangba, the District Welfare Officer of Mokokchung, the meeting provided a platform for officials to assess project progress and encourage Anganwadi workers in their roles.
Various department officials provided insights into improving the quality of work carried out by Anganwadi workers and encouraged their active engagement with communities to increase enrollment and participation.
Director Tosheli Zhimomi reviewed ongoing projects, especially those involving Anganwadi Workers, and addressed their concerns. She emphasized their crucial role in enhancing community well-being in Mokokchung.

The meeting also featured a special performance by Anganwadi Workers from Ongpangkong (North).
Attendees included Anganwadi Workers from various areas in Mokokchung District, supervisors, department officials, and staff. Their presence and active participation highlighted the collective effort to enhance services provided by the Department of Social Welfare to communities.
