Moamenla Longkumer, District Mission Coordinator for District Hub for Empowerment of Women Mission Shakti, elucidated the significance of the day. She highlighted the crucial role played by women in society, citing the success stories of Salhoutuonuo Kruse and Hekani Jakhalu, the first two women to be elected to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. This, she said, signifies the success born out of the struggles. Longkumer advocated for collaboration between men and women, not as rivals, but as equals, to bring about positive changes in society.

Rachel Jamir, the theme speaker and Associate Pastor Women, Kumlong Baptist Church, spoke about “Inspire Inclusion.” She emphasized that inclusion stems from the equality and value given to all, and it involves recognizing, inspiring, and motivating each other. Jamir stressed that women’s empowerment can only be achieved by supporting one another, not through oppression. She urged women to inspire and encourage each other to live harmoniously in society, emphasizing collaboration instead of competition.
