Lumami, 20 March (MTNews): The Department of Physics at Nagaland University hosted the inaugural session of a six-day high-end workshop on the topic ‘Exposure to a Galaxy of Spectroscopic Techniques’ on 20 March 2024. This workshop, aimed at providing comprehensive insights into various spectroscopic techniques, promises to be an enriching experience for academicians, researchers, and participants alike.

Head and Convenor of the Physics Department, Prof. Y Sundarayya, extended a warm welcome to all the esteemed guests and participants. He emphasized the significance of the workshop in fostering new ideas and advancements in the field of spectroscopy. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Jagadish Kumar Patnaik, Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University, who shared his invaluable thoughts on the topic, highlighting its importance in contemporary scientific research.

Distinguished guests Prof. Kanjilal (Raja Ramanna Fellow & Former Director IUAC), Prof. Sandeep S Ghughre (Director, UGC-DAE CSR Kolkata), and Prof. Vasudeva Siruguri (Former Director, UGC-DAE CSR Mumbai) graced the occasion as Guests of Honor. They shared their rich academic and scientific experiences, offering profound insights to the eager audience.
