Kohima, 24 April (MTNews): Following the General Election to the Lok Sabha 2024 in the state, the Nagaland Police, under the leadership of Director General of Police, Rupin Sharma (IPS), convened its first physical meeting of all Unit Commanders and Senior Police Officers at the Police Headquarters (PHQ) today.
During the meeting, DGP Rupin Sharma congratulated all the Unit Commanders and supervisory officers for ensuring a peaceful, free, and fair conduct of the General Elections to the Lok Sabha 2024 in the state. He emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in successfully handling any assigned task.
The meeting saw extensive discussions on administrative matters and measures to enhance the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the State Police. Special focus was given to a target-oriented approach, particularly in the ongoing War against Drugs.
All the Unit Commanders and Senior Police Officers actively deliberated on various issues concerning the department. They discussed strategies to improve coordination among different units, streamline processes, and leverage available resources more efficiently. The aim is to effectively execute the primary mandate of the police force, which includes crime prevention, detection, investigation, maintenance of public peace, and ensuring internal security in the state.
