Despite the setback faced in the recent Lok Sabha election, the BJP Nagaland has achieved a significant breakthrough in the forthcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections. Two candidates of the saffron party have emerged victorious in the ULB elections, representing Ward 1 and Ward 9 respectively, both under the jurisdiction of the Niuland Town Council.
Visheli Zhimo of Ward 1 and Kakheka Zhimomi of Ward 9 have been declared elected uncontested.
Expressing jubilation over this victory, BJP Minister Jacob Zhimomi took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to extend his congratulations.
“BJP makes headway in the Nagaland ULB elections with two @BJP4Nagaland candidates emerging victorious. Heartiest congratulations to Smt. Visheli Zhimo of Ward 1 and Shri Kakheka Zhimomi of Ward 9 under Niuland Town Council for being elected uncontested!” he declared.
“Their victory is a testament to the trust the electorate has placed in their leadership. I am confident that they will diligently uphold the people’s mandate and strive for collective progress and development. Best wishes!” Minister Jacob Zhimomi added.
