MLA Kevipodi Sophie visited the landslide area at Kigwema Village under Kohima district on 8 July 2024. He was accompanied by SDO (C) Jakhama, Nockpai Konyak; EE PWD, Er Wapanginba M Jamir; and Kigwema Village Council Chairman, Balie Kire.
Sophie instructed the officials to assess the damage and pursue the matter with the higher authorities in earnest. The landslide, which occurred a few days ago due to incessant rain, has damaged houses and completely blocked the road between Kigwema and Mima Village.
