The body of a 64-year-old man from Chiphur village in the Thonoknyu area of Noklak district was recovered on September 30, 2024. The deceased, who was assumed to have drowned while fishing on August 19, 2024, at the Chokla River in Noklak, was retrieved from the river after 42 days.

It was reported that when the man failed to return home, the villagers formed a search team to locate him, but they only found his belongings on the riverbank. On September 30, the villagers received information from two individuals who saw a dead body in the river. The search team rushed to the spot and retrieved the body from the water.

The family members of the deceased, while lamenting their tragic loss, expressed gratitude to everyone who supported them in every way possible during this difficult time.
