In supersession of its earlier notification dated 25 March 2022, the government of Nagaland has reconstituted the Nagaland Inland Waterways Board for effective coordination and implementation of the projects in the State with immediate effect.
As per the latest notification, the government has appointed a 10-member Board led by KG Kenye, Minister, Power & Parliamentary Affairs as the chairman and chief secretary, Nagaland, as the Co-opted Chairman. The other members of the board are Finance Commissioner, Development Commissioner, Commissioner & Secretary, Justice & Law; Commissioner & Secretary, Works & Housing, Commissioner & Secretary, Land Revenue; and Commissioner & Secretary, Water Resources.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Power Department and Secretary of Transport will be the Member Secretary and Secretary of the board respectively.
