The three-day Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN) 4th Biennial Youth Conference, held at WSBAK Millennium Hall, Daniel Village, Doyapur, Chümoukedima District, from October 11-13, 2024, concluded with the theme ‘Growing Stronger and Reaching Higher.’ More than 500 delegates and officials from 37 Nagaland Gorkha Baptist Churches and Fellowships attended the conference.

More than 500 delegates and officials from 37 Nagaland Gorkha Baptist Churches and Fellowships attended the 4th Biennial Youth Conference of the Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN), from October 11-13, 2024.

The main speakers were K Nifato Chishi, Secretary of the Department of Youth Ministry, WSBAK, and Rev. Mathias Subba from the Himalayan Evangelical Fellowship, Kalimpong, Darjeeling. They spoke on topics based on the conference theme, motivating the youth with the Word of God.

The conference featured praise and worship by Nepali Baptist Church Tuensang, along with various events such as an exhibition of Nepali culture, a Battle of Bands, a Nepali cultural dance competition, and a Secretary Report competition. AGBCN Youth Secretary Shishir Lama encouraged the youth to remain steadfast in their commitment until the next biennial youth conference in 2026.

Highlights of the event included NBC Tuensang winning the Battle of Bands, with GBC Mon coming in second, and NBC Padumpukhuri securing third place. NBC Chümoukedima Town won the Nepali Cultural Dance competition, followed by NBC Medziphema in second place and NBC Walford in third. In the Secretary Report competition, NBC Kohima took first place, NBC Walford came in second, and NBC Chümoukedima Town placed third. GBC Mon was awarded the Best Disciplined Church. The overall champion of the 2024 conference was Nepali Baptist Church Chümoukedima Town.
