Dimapur Town Nepali Baptist Church Duncan Sunday School Ministry observed World Sunday School Day on 3rd, November 2024, with a devotional service themed “Growing Stronger and Reaching Higher” (Isaiah 40:31).


According to an update received here, the sermon, delivered by Kamal Sharma, Youth Pastor DTNBC Duncan emphasized spiritual nourishment and outreach. He encouraged the congregation to embrace their faith and strive for excellence.

The program was chaired by Roshni Biswakarma and featured praise and worship led by the Sunday School Ministry, an invocation prayer by Precilla Thapa, and a warm welcome address by Sarah Gurung, (Sunday School Teacher).

The Women’s Ministry presented a song of praise, and the offering was blessed by  Ruth Rai. The Sunday School Ministry performed a special number, showcasing their talents and dedication.

The highlight was a vibrant Gorkha Gospel cultural dance, “Ghankiyo Madal Ajo,” led by Kuria Sunar and Lillian Musahari. This traditional dance celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the Gorkha community.

The Holy Book was read by Jerusa Thapa (English) and Betsy Lama (Nepali), followed by a cultural dance by the senior group.  The entertainment segment featured  Sundeep Gurung, followed by Daniel Lama, and  Surjona, who led the special song “Hosanna.”

Pastor Rajesh Thapa offered a prayer for the children, seeking God’s guidance and protection. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and presentation by Rosy Singh Sunday School Teacher and a benediction prayer by Dr K Santabir Rai, Executive Secretary (Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland).
