The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that dense fog conditions are likely to continue over Nagaland and its neighbouring states on the 9th and 10th of January. It also predicted light to moderate rainfall at many places, accompanied by thunderstorm activity at isolated places over the Northeastern states during the next two days. The IMD said that a rise in minimum temperatures by three to four degrees Celsius is likely over the region during the next 1-2 days, followed by a gradual fall of two to three degrees Celsius during the subsequent two days.
