The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has revised the vegetable rates within its jurisdiction, effective immediately, following fluctuations in market prices in Assam.
This new pricing supersedes the earlier notice issued on 16 October 2024.
According to the updated rates, potatoes are priced at Rs. 35 per kg, onions at Rs. 50 per kg, tomatoes at Rs. 40 per kg, and green chilies at Rs. 60 per kg. Other revised rates include cauliflower at Rs. 50 per kg, cabbage at Rs. 40 per kg, carrots at Rs. 80 per kg, and beans at Rs. 80 per kg.
The revision follows a surge and drop in the market rate at the base market in Assam, necessitating the adjustment in prices within the Mokokchung Municipal Council jurisdiction.
