Along with the rest of the districts in Nagaland, a review meeting for the Final Publication of the Electoral Roll was held on January 10, 2025, at the DC’s Conference Room, Mokokchung. The meeting was attended by representatives from various political parties.

Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji welcomed the representatives of all political parties and emphasized the importance of transparency and collaboration in ensuring a free and fair election. He also expressed gratitude for their cooperation during the electoral roll revision process. In his closing remarks, the DC thanked the political parties for their participation and constructive feedback. The DC reiterated the election office’s commitment to conducting impartial and transparent elections. He further, appealed all political parties to promote peaceful and fair electoral practice while ensuring compliance with the Election Commission’s guidelines.

During the meeting, the ADC provided a detailed review of the final publication of the Electoral Roll. He outlined the process leading to the final publication, highlighting key points such as additions, deletions, and corrections made during the revision process. Special attention was given to the inclusion of senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PwDs), and first-time voters. The ADC also outlined the efforts made, including field verifications and grievance redress mechanisms, to ensure accuracy in the electoral roll.

The ADC also informed the political parties that the Final copy of the Electoral Roll is available for inspection at the ADC office, Mokokchung.

ADC Mokokchung, Chumlamo Humtsoe also notified that the list of amendments to the draft publication of the Electoral Roll for the 21-Tuli, 22-Arkakong, 23-Impur, 24-Angetyongpang, 25-Mongoya, 26-Aonglenden, 27-Mokokchung Town, 28-Koridang, 29-Jangpetkong, and 30-Alongdaki Assembly Constituencies has been prepared with reference to 01-01-2025 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rule, 1960. A copy of the roll, together with the said list of amendments, has been published and will be available for inspection at the ADC office.

  4. Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
