RTI Activist ST Yapang Lkr has expressed satisfaction with the execution of two key infrastructure projects in Changtongya Town, as per a recent inspection. The works in question, which were requested by Yapang’s office to be completed within 30 days of an application submitted on March 17, 2025, were found to be satisfactorily executed upon a spot verification conducted on April 22, 2025.
The completed projects include:
· Rejuvenation of Awatsung Lake and the construction of a stormwater drainage system at Awatsung Local Ground, with a total cost of Rs 5,00,000.
· Construction of drainage at PWD Ward, with an allocated amount of Rs 1,00,000.
In his letter to the SDO (Civil) Changtongya and the Executive Officer of the Changtongya Town Council, Yapang not only confirmed the satisfactory completion of these works but also issued a request for future projects to comply with the same standards. He urged that no Utilization Certificate (UC) be issued for any future works unless they are fully executed.
