Mokokchung, April 16 (MTNews): Four colleges of Mokokchung district organized a one day cultural and literary event under the theme “Mente Et Artificio” which translates to ‘With mind and skill’ at Town Hall, Mokokchung on Saturday 16 April. The event was a collective event of the four colleges in the district namely Fazl Ali College, People’s College, Jubilee Memorial College and Tuli College.

 

The general secretary of People’s College Students’ Union in his welcome address said that the event was organised with the goal of rejuvenating the students’ enthusiastic spirit, which had been lost due to the pandemic years, and that the event was organised for the students’ holistic development.

 

Chief Guest during the event, Akum O Tzudir, OSD to Temjen Imna Along, Nagaland Minister of Higher Education and Tribal Affairs, who attended the event on his behalf, spoke on the theme of the event, and stated that total contribution of the mind is required to “perform a skill” while further adding that the event was an example of minds and skills coming together for a good cause.

 

In the second session of the event, guest of honor, Aotula Imchen, IPS, SP, Mokokchung spoke on the theme “Vanquishing Crossroads.” The third session featured a variety of competitions, including a debate competition titled “NLTP Act: Boon or Bane?” as well as dance, cosplay, battle of bands, poetry, and painting. Dr. Imtiwati Jamir, Principal JMC, Officials of ANCSU and AKM also spoke during the event.
