Activates district control room; Directs outpost admin officers

 

Mokokchung, April 17 (MTNews): With the Nagaland In-service Doctors Association (NIDA) going ahead with the three-day mass casual leave stir from April 18-20, Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung Shashank Pratap Singh held an emergency meeting with Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung, Medical Superintendent IMDH and administrative officers to take stock of the situation.

 

Consequently, the DC has order the CMO and the MS IMDH to recall all doctors on leave and redeploy all available contractual or temporary medical and Ayush doctors to ensure that all routine and essential services including OPD, IPD, emergency services are not impacted due to the anticipated unauthorized absences.

 

District control room activated

As instructed by the government, a district level control room has been constituted by the DC to manage the situation arising on account of the mass casual leave agitation by NIDA. “The control room shall coordinate and monitor the situation in the district and be in constant touch with the state level control room and provide regular status updates,” the DC said in a notification. Further, the DC informed that the control room shall provide guidance to any individual needing access to healthcare facilities during the period. The members of the Control Room are: Temsuchuba Jamir SDO (Civil) Sadar as Chairman with Chuba Chang, SDPO, Mokokchung; Imtilila, Drug Inspector, CMO Office, Mokokchung; Peter Tungoe, LDA, CMO Office, Mokokchung; Imkongsangla Pongen, Steno-III, DC Office; and Imsendong, Bench Assistant, Judicial Branch, DC Office as members.

Further, the deputy commissioner has directed all outpost administrative officers to conduct daily attendance of doctors posted at respective CHCs/PHCs/HWCs in coordination with Village Health Committee/Health Management Committee and submit daily report to the control room by 2:00 PM.

 

Further, all administrative officers in coordination with Village Health Committee/Health Management Committee are to ensure that all routine and essential services including OPD, IPD, emergency services are not impacted.
