Nino Iralu was officially sworn in as the new Lokayukta of Nagaland at a formal ceremony held at the conference hall of the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima on Monday.

Iralu succeeds Banuo Z Jamir, former Chief Secretary of Nagaland, who completed her five-year term as the first Lokayukta of the state.
The Chief Secretary of Nagaland, Dr. J Alam, IAS, administered the oath of office to Nino Iralu, while Home Commissioner Anoop Khinchi, IAS, initiated the official proceedings.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by senior government officials, officers and staff of the Lokayukta office, along with family members and well-wishers of the newly appointed Lokayukta.
