NEDFi marks 30th Foundation Day
A commemorative program was held at the NHAK Auditorium, Kohima, where NEDFi announced a major health and nutrition support initiative under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The corporation will provide six months of food baskets to 100 TB patients in Nagaland in a phase-wise manner, beginning this month.

The first phase of distribution took place during the event, with all 100 selected patients invited to receive their food baskets. The initiative is part of the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (PMTBMBA) and is being implemented by the NEDFi Kohima Branch in association with the District TB Centre, Kohima. The support aims to boost the nutritional well-being of TB patients, aiding their recovery and improving quality of life.

As part of the celebrations, NEDFi also felicitated two prominent personalities from Nagaland for their contributions to society:
· Niketu Iralu, honoured by the NEDFi Kohima Branch for his lifelong dedication to peace-building, social leadership, and community development.
· Lephizo Apon, National Teachers Award 2024 recipient, felicitated by the NEDFi Dimapur Branch for his impactful work in social empowerment and grassroots initiatives.

Speaking on the occasion, NEDFi representatives expressed gratitude to the people of the North Eastern Region for their continued trust and support over the past three decades, reiterating their mission to foster sustainable economic growth and social development through innovative, inclusive programmes.

The 30th Foundation Day, they said, was both a celebration of NEDFi’s journey and a renewed pledge to create a positive, lasting impact in the region.
