Less than a week after resigning from the Naga People’s Front (NPF), Dr. Lorho S. Pfoze has been appointed as the National Secretary of the National People’s Party (NPP) for the tenure 2025–2028.
The appointment was announced in a notification issued by NPP National President Conrad K. Sangma on 17 September 2025. “In exercise of power conferred upon me as National President of the National People’s Party (NPP) under Article 11 of the Constitution of NPP, Dr. Lorho S. Pfoze is hereby appointed as the National Secretary of the National People’s Party for the tenure 2025–2028,” the notification stated.
Dr. Pfoze, a former Member of Parliament from Outer Manipur, had resigned from the NPF on 11 September 2025 and formally joined the NPP at a function held at the party headquarters in Shillong on 16 September 2025.
