The District Welfare Office, Mokokchung, has informed all beneficiaries under the Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, and Disability Pension schemes, both State and National, that pension benefits for the year 2024–2025 will be disbursed from September 25. The distribution will take place at the District Welfare Office during office working hours.
According to the notification, the payment will cover beneficiaries who have not received their entitlements through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Beneficiaries are required to provide their personal contact numbers. Those who have not yet submitted their bank account details must produce a photocopy of their bank passbook, as future payments will only be made through bank accounts.
For beneficiaries unable to collect their pension in person, authorized representatives must present a Life Certificate issued by the beneficiary’s church pastor, along with the pension payment book.
In cases where beneficiaries have passed away, the authorized person must provide both a death certificate and an authorization certificate issued by the respective village or ward council chairman to withdraw the pension benefit.
The District Welfare Office has urged all concerned to comply with the requirements to ensure smooth and timely disbursement.
