An executive meeting of the NSUI Kohima Unit was held on September 20, 2025, at Congress Bhavan, Kohima, to re-constitute its office bearers for the 2026-27 term.
Addressing the members, Seyievikho Linyü, President of NSUI Kohima, welcomed the newly elected office bearers and encouraged them to be dedicated workers. He urged them to uphold the party’s ideology and rise to the occasion in serving students, highlighting the organization’s key aims and objectives.
Linyü emphasized the importance of empowering students, focusing on their welfare, and promoting co-curricular activities such as cultural events, debates, and sports to help students utilize their talents. He also stressed the need to harness the capabilities of the youth while preserving the image of the student community.
During the meeting, Linyü, who has been serving as NSUI Kohima President since 2021, was re-elected as President, alongside the newly elected members for various positions. Active members and representatives from different assembly constituencies attended the meeting.
The program was chaired by Sedevinuo Yhome, General Secretary of NSUI Kohima. An invocation was offered by Shejeang Chetnyu, Joint Secretary, while Kevileto Vimero proposed the vote of thanks.
The meeting concluded with speeches highlighting the commitment of the new team to student welfare and active participation in organizational initiatives.
