Star forward Mecievi Khieya scored a hat-trick as Jakhama Youth Organisation (JYO) outclassed Patkai Christian College 4-0 in Match No. 21 of the ongoing 25th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2025 on Monday.
JYO registered a convincing 4-0 victory at the Chümoukedima Football Stadium. The match was graced by Meguo Ratsa, PA to the Advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, who served as the Match Patron.
Khieya stole the spotlight with goals in the 11th, 45+3rd, and 68th minutes. He was ably supported by Keduhoto Zao, who netted in the 41st minute to complete the rout.
For his outstanding performance, Khieya was adjudged Player of the Match. With this win, JYO advances to the second round, where they will face Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (ALT) from Manipur on October 1.
