The Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) has issued a reminder to all villages under its jurisdiction to strictly enforce the earlier resolution banning all forms of riverbed mining activities, citing urgent environmental concerns and the adverse consequences resulting from riverbed mining.

In a statement issued by its Media Cell on Wednesday, the CPO emphasized the importance of protecting rivers and natural habitats from degradation caused by excessive mining. It reiterated that all individuals, groups, and firms engaged in or associated with riverbed mining must completely cease operations by October 31, 2025.

The organization warned that any violation of the directive after the stipulated deadline would invite action through the concerned authorities as per the provisions of the law.
