The All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) has announced that all teachers across Nagaland will observe a three-day Pen-Down Strike from October 14 to 16, in solidarity with the Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees’ Association.
The strike, called by CANSSEA, seeks to draw attention to two main grievances: ”the non-fulfillment of the demand for withdrawal of Non-NPSC candidates from the Select List of Non-SCS Officers for induction into the IAS held on 25th September 2025,” and “the non-restoration of the Vacancy Circular dated 10th March 2025, which is crucial to ensure transparency and uphold merit in future selections of Non-SCS officers for IAS induction.”

As an affiliated body of CANSSEA, ANSTA has directed all district units, teachers’ groups, and members to “strictly” observe the strike. Teaching and non-teaching staff have been asked to refrain from official duties during this period while maintaining discipline and decorum.
The association has also instructed its district units to ensure proper implementation of the strike and report compliance to the ANSTA headquarters.
