The Department of Law, Nagaland University, in collaboration with the Consumer Advocacy Group, organised a National Webinar on “Consumer Awareness” on October 9, 2025. The event was graced by Prof. M.K. Sinha, Senior Professor and Vice-Chancellor (In-charge), and began with a welcome address by Dr. Kuldeep Singh Panwar, Head of the Department of Law. Dr. P.V.V.S. Murthy, Founder of the Consumer Advocacy Group, highlighted the purpose of the webinar, while the sessions were moderated by Dr. Sentikumla.
Resource person Dr. Rekha Singh of Sardar Patel University, Gujarat, discussed issues faced by consumers on digital platforms and noted that the 2020 e-commerce rules were introduced to address these challenges. Prof. Rajesh Jampala of Siddharth College, Vijayawada, spoke on consumer challenges in the digital economy, while Prof. S.C. Roy of CNLU, Patna, addressed food adulteration and medical malpractices. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Panwar.
