Nagaland will take on Uttar Pradesh in their fourth group stage encounter of the Ranji Trophy 2025 at Kanpur from November 8 to 11. The match will be crucial for Nagaland as the team looks to bounce back from a difficult start to the season.

In their opening fixture, Nagaland suffered a heavy defeat against Vidarbha, who posted 463 runs in their first innings before bowling out Nagaland for 171 and 113, winning by an innings and 179 runs.

In the second match, Nagaland showed significant improvement with the bat, posting a strong total of 446 runs in reply to Tamil Nadu’s 512 for three declared. The contest ended in a draw, marking Nagaland’s first points of the campaign.

However, in their third outing, Nagaland once again struggled as Jharkhand declared at 510 for eight and then dismissed Nagaland for 154 and 160, sealing an innings and 196-run victory.

With two heavy losses and one draw so far, Nagaland will aim to regroup and deliver a more competitive performance against a strong Uttar Pradesh side on their home turf.
