He encouraged present leaders and members to continue their efforts with commitment for the sake of future generations, acknowledging existing challenges while calling for perseverance. He also highlighted the need to preserve the cultural values of Northeast India – particularly honesty and integrity – alongside visible expressions of traditional attire and customs.

Pastor Wapangtoshi of NCF Chennai extended greetings to the congregation and expressed heartfelt appreciation to all past and present members and leaders for their dedication and contributions since the fellowship’s founding. He also conveyed gratitude to the Nagaland Baptist Church Council and the Nagaland Missions Movement for their continued support as the parent bodies of the fellowship. In his message, he acknowledged the cooperation extended by churches in Nagaland, as well as the governments of Nagaland and Tamil Nadu, in matters concerning the Naga community in Chennai. He further thanked well-wishers and partners of NCF Chennai across the world for their prayerful support.

A key highlight of the celebration was the release of a commemorative magazine, “The Journey of Faith: 40 Years of the Naga Christian Fellowship Chennai,” unveiled by Rev. Dr. Basumatary to mark the fellowship’s four-decade journey.

The program featured special songs by Bartley Noel Dkhar and Shim & Friends, adding to the festive atmosphere. The celebration was led by Vuto K Chishi and attended by members of various communities who joined in commemorating the occasion.
