An awareness camp and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan programme was organised at Seyochung Village on Wednesday by Nature SBI Foundation in collaboration with the Seyochung Village Students’ Union. The initiative aimed to promote cleanliness, hygiene and community responsibility.

The programme began with a prayer led by Khumkise, Youth Pastor of Seyochung Village Baptist Lithro. Addressing the gathering, Longtili C. Sangtam, Project Lead of Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland, stressed that cleanliness should be a priority for leading a healthy life. He said a clean environment is essential for the overall well-being of the community and highlighted the need to segregate wet and dry waste. He also encouraged villagers to make proper use of public facilities such as toilets and dustbins and urged them to take responsibility for maintaining public property.

Aseli, Vice President of the Seyochung Village Students’ Union, expressed appreciation to Nature SBI Foundation Kiphire for organising the programme. He thanked the foundation for its support and for donating useful materials to the village, stating that the community was grateful for the contribution.

Tsikhasela, President of Evergreen Village Level Organisation under the NSRLM Sitimi Block, also welcomed the initiative. She said the programme provided an opportunity for villagers to learn the importance of cleanliness and work together towards building a healthier and better environment.

Participants later took part in cleanliness activities as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, reinforcing the message of collective responsibility and community involvement in keeping the village clean.
