The annual sports meet of Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) was held from December 27, 2025 to January 2, 2026 at Koinonia Prayer Centre, Tsiesema Basa, High School Ground, and Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
According to an update from the Koinonia Media Ministry, the inaugural programme was held on December 27 at the High School Ground and was attended by Medotsielieu Kiewhuo, Pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church. The programme was followed by a marathon race.
On the final day, January 2, Rev. Dr. Zotuo Kiewhuo, Founder and Senior Pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church and Principal of Kohima Bible College, attended the closing ceremony held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Exhorting the participants from 1 Corinthians 9:24, he encouraged believers to run the Christian race with focused discipline. He said that while many run in a race, only one wins the prize, urging them to strive for the imperishable crown rather than a temporary one, while emphasising the need for self-control and perseverance in faith.
He also distributed prizes to the winners of various sports events and categories.
