The Department of Social Welfare, Nagaland, organised a coordination meeting at Ungma Senso Telongjem Hall in Mokokchung on Saturday, February 7. The session was chaired by Mangliyangba, District Welfare Officer, Department of Social Welfare.

The meeting began with introductions of officials, followed by presentation of reports on ongoing programmes. Wangpang Konyak, MLA and Advisor to the Department of Social Welfare, delivered a key address. Officials from the Directorate of Social Welfare also attended.

The gathering turned interactive, with detailed discussions on various social welfare initiatives and upliftment programmes across Nagaland. Participants focused on challenges, progress, and strategies to enhance scheme implementation in Mokokchung District.

The primary aim was to strengthen coordination among stakeholders for more effective delivery of welfare services.

The meeting saw wide participation from district-level functionaries, including the District Welfare Officer and staff, District Programme Officer, six Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs), supervisors from CDPO offices, Poshan coordinators, Sakhi One Stop Centre (OSC) representatives, District Health Education and Welfare (DHEW) personnel, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) team, District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Protection Officer NIC, Child Helpline Coordinator and Supervisor, Mokokchung Anganwadi workers, and the Deputy Director from the Department of Social Welfare.
