In preparation for the 25th edition of the Dr T Ao Inter-District Football Championship, scheduled to be held later this year in Mokokchung, the Tournament Organising Committee, Nagaland Football Association (NFA), and the Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA) held their first coordination meeting on Friday at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Mokokchung. The NFA delegation is led by its president, K Neibou Sekhose.
Later in the day, NFA officials visited Changki village, the birthplace of Dr T Ao, where they held a formal meeting with the village council.
Impur playground to be renamed after Dr T Ao today
On February 21, the NFA delegation will travel to Impur Mission Centre for the formal declaration of the Impur playground as Dr T Ao Playground at 11:00 am, followed by an exhibition match between ABAM XI and NFA XI.
Anthony Ngullie, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary, Youth Resources and Sports, Nagaland, will formally declare the renaming of the Dr T Ao Playground.
