The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has issued separate notices informing tenants of municipal market buildings and trade permit holders to renew their permits for the 2026 to 2027 period according to a fixed schedule.

In a notice issued by the ADC and CEO, MMC, tenants operating under MMC market buildings have been directed to renew their respective shop permits in April. The renewal process for tenants of the Shopping Complex and Muttia will be held on April 2 and April 4. Tenants of Readymade Garments and the Basement section have been assigned April 6, while those under the Cobbler and NST sections will renew their permits on April 7. Tenants operating from the Old Town Hall market will renew their permits on April 8, followed by Salangtem Market tenants on April 9.

In a separate notice, the MMC also informed that the renewal of trade permits under Mokokchung Municipal jurisdiction will begin from April 2 and will be conducted ward wise on scheduled dates.

Sangtemla ward will complete renewal on April 2 and April 4, while Mongsenbai and Marepkong wards are scheduled for April 6 and April 7. Alongmen ward will renew permits on April 8 and April 9, and Aongza and Artang wards on April 10. Sungkomen and Tongdentsuyong wards have been assigned April 13 and April 14, while Dilong ward will complete the process on April 15 and April 16.

Yimyu, Penli and Kumlong wards are scheduled for April 17 and April 18. Lijabalijen and Majakong wards will renew permits on April 20, followed by Arkong ward on April 21 and April 22. Kichutip and Alempang wards will complete renewal on April 23 and April 24, while Salangtem ward is scheduled for April 27.

Renewal for fish stalls, beef stalls, pork stalls, poultry and mutton vendors will be conducted on April 28 and April 29. Tea vendors, food trucks, hostels and educational institutions will complete their renewal on April 30.
The council has also informed that trade permit holders who fail to renew their permits during the stipulated time will be penalized.
