The Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) will organise a statewide Mega Job Fair on March 21, 2026, aimed at connecting unemployed youth with industry opportunities.

Details of the event were shared during a press conference held at the Conference Hall of the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) in Kohima on March 16.

Under Secretary and Project Manager (i/c) of NSEDM, I. Changsang, said the job fair is part of the mission’s effort to create employment opportunities and promote private sector engagement in the state. The event will be organised in collaboration with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) and will be held at the Integrated Business Hub and Innovation Centre under IDAN at Forest Colony, Dimapur.

Changsang said the programme is expected to be one of the largest job fairs organised by the state government. However, he noted a significant gap between available job openings and registered applicants. According to him, while there are currently 6,456 job vacancies, only 326 candidates have registered so far.

Under Secretary and Project Lead of NSEDM, Meripeni, informed that 33 national and international recruiters across different sectors will participate in the event. She assured that all international recruiters are credible and duly licensed under the Ministry of External Affairs.

Technical Officer and Placement Officer of NIELIT, Moasunep Kichu, said candidates can register free of cost through the QR code provided. Registered applicants will be able to view job listings, including company details, vacancies, salary packages, job locations and descriptions, and can apply for up to three preferred vacancies.

Kichu added that candidates will receive updates on grooming sessions and orientation programmes through a dedicated WhatsApp group after registration. He also said online support services will be available for candidates at NIELIT centres in Merima, Kohima, and Chuchuyimlang and Mokokchung.
