The partnership with SCERT will introduce the Kaushal Bodh textbook for Classes 6 to 8, aimed at giving students early exposure to practical learning. The programme, aligned with the National Curriculum Framework, will cover areas such as Life Forms, Machines and Materials, and Human Services, while building skills like problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, and communication.

“The MOU with Lend A Hand India aims to strengthen vocational education in line with NEP 2020 by making learning practical and relevant,” said SCERT Director Smt Keviraleü Kerhuo. She added that initiatives such as Kaushal Bodh and “10 Bagless Days” would help adapt content to local needs while enabling students to “develop essential life skills early.”

A parallel collaboration with NBSE will focus on strengthening skill assessment and certification systems for Classes 9 to 12, including support for the board’s progression towards recognition under the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET).

NBSE Secretary and Chairperson (Additional Charge), Shri Rangumbuing Nsarangbe, described the initiative as “a significant and timely step,” expressing confidence that the collaboration would lay “a strong foundation” for advancing skill education in the state.
