A consultative meeting at AC level and above of the 8th Western Angami Assembly Constituency has been held on March 25 at Sechü–Zubza Council Hall, following a directive from the Naga People’s Front (NPF) Kohima Division.

The meeting was hosted by Salhoutuono Kruse, Minister for Horticulture and Women Resource Development and in-charge of NPF Kohima Division. It brought together central office bearers, members of the central executive committee, cell convenors, division office bearers, and AC-level representatives from various wings, reflecting unity and coordination within the party.

Senior leaders Goneiu Sirie and Mhiesizokho Zinyü addressed the gathering, highlighting the party’s historical legacy since 1963 and emphasising discipline, unity, and adherence to party ideology under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio. They also urged members to remain vigilant regarding the upcoming Census revision.

In his address, Rokovisie Rino called for unity and loyalty, urging members to avoid internal discord and misinformation.

Kruse, in her speech, recalled her political journey and expressed gratitude to party workers and supporters across parties. She described her achievement as a historic milestone and called for collective efforts to strengthen the party. Emphasising unity, she stated, “United we stand, divided we fall”.

The meeting was chaired by Mhiesilhoukho Yalie, with invocation by Dzüviho Kin and vote of thanks by Vitsalhou Kesiezie. The house resolved to uphold unity and extend support to the leadership of Kruse and Neiphiu Rio.
