National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) External Assessment of PHC Mongsenyimti, Mokokchung was conducted on 17th of May 2022. The assessment will be for 2 (two) days and will continue till the 18th of May 2022, an update from the District Program Management Unit, NRHM, Mokokchung informed. PHC Mongsenyimti is the first PHC in Nagaland to qualify for NQAS External Assessment.

 

 

The NQAS Certification Program is the highest National quality certification for public health facilities, which was launched in the year 2013 to improve the quality in healthcare services. The certification is awarded against the fulfillment of the National Quality Assurance Standard criteria accredited by International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua).

 

Opening the program, Dr. R. Chubala Aier, Chief Medical Officer, welcomed all the External assessors and the team from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima, Staffs from Mongsenyimti PHC, HCMC, members from the community and staffs from the office of the Chief Medical Officer. She thanked the community for their co-operation and contribution towards the PHC and urged their continual support for quality health care services.

 

Dr. Maongkala, Medical Officer, PHC Mongsenyimti, through a PowerPoint presentation highlighted the achievements, organogram, visions and missions.

 

NQAS External Assessment was assessed by a two- member team of empaneled External Assessors, Col. Dr. R.K. Agarwal, Project Director, Lucknow and Dr. Vikas Moudgil, Addl. SMO, Health Department, Haryana.
