The Upper Khomi Students’ Union (UKSU) has conducted a felicitation programme at Upper Khomi Baptist Church under Phek district to honour successful candidates of the HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2026.
According to an update, the programme recognised the students’ hard work, dedication and achievements.
Speaking at the event, Kulupoyi V Vadeo, Village Development Board (VDB) Secretary of Upper Khomi Village, congratulated the students for bringing laurels to their families and the village. He encouraged them to remain hardworking, sincere and committed to their goals, while seeking guidance in all their pursuits.
He highlighted the challenges of stiff competition and unemployment among educated youth, stressing the need for value-based education and practical skills for self-sustenance and meaningful contribution to society. He further emphasised discipline, consistency and perseverance as key to success.
Vadeo also urged students to broaden their outlook and make effective use of technology, underscoring the importance of digital literacy, adaptability and innovation. He called on them to uphold moral values, remain rooted in their culture, and contribute positively to society.
Dupoyi Nienu, President of UKSU, delivered greetings and commended the students.
A special prayer was offered by Husapa. The programme was led by Mulevo Nienu, with awards presented by Mutselu Huzhu. Special songs were performed by Veyotso and hostellers, while a scripture passage was read by Chosuvelu Nienu.
