A one-day training programme for surveyors and volunteer teachers on the implementation of “Understanding Lifelong Learning for All in Society” (ULLAS) was conducted on May 20 at Ongpangkong Salang, Arkong Ward, Mokokchung.

The training programme was conducted by District Resource Persons for the ULLAS programme, which is slated to be implemented from the current academic session. Altogether 181 surveyors and volunteer teachers attended the programme and will implement the initiative in their respective jurisdictions.

Delivering the keynote address, SDO (C) Mokokchung, Nockpai Konyak, encouraged the participants to view the assignment as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to society.

“Consider this assignment as an opportunity and do something meaningful for the people,” he said.

District Education Officer, Mokokchung, Sentinenla delivered the welcome address, while the programme was chaired by Meyijungla Jamir, ToT, EBRC Kubolong.

Shilu Ao from the State Literacy Mission Authority (SLMA) also attended and participated in the training programme.
