The Home Department has revised the holiday date for Id-ul-Zuha in Nagaland for 2026.

According to a notification issued as a partial modification of the earlier holiday list notified on October 29, 2025, the state government has declared May 28, 2026 (Thursday) as the holiday for Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) in all government offices instead of May 27, 2026.

The government has also declared May 28 as a public holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

The change follows an Office Memorandum issued by the Government of India on May 22, 2026, shifting the date of the festival holiday.
