The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) has announced open trials for the 2026-27 cricket season across various age-group and senior categories. The trials will be conducted at GNR Ground, Dimapur, beginning June 10.
According to a press release issued by the NCA, trials for the Senior Men’s category will be held on June 10, followed by Men’s Under-19 trials on June 11 and 12, Boys’ Under-16 on June 13, and Men’s Under-23 on June 15 and 16.
Trials for Women’s Under-15 and Under-19 categories will take place on June 17, while Women’s Under-23 and Senior categories are scheduled for June 18.
The association has specified eligibility criteria for each category. Girls competing in the Under-15 category must be born between September 1, 2011 and August 31, 2014, while Boys’ Under-16 players must be born between September 1, 2010 and August 31, 2012. Under-19 players must be born on or after September 1, 2007, and Under-23 players on or after September 1, 2003.
Interested players have been asked to register through their respective District Cricket Associations and bring a recommendation letter, original birth certificate and Aadhaar card for verification at the time of reporting. Players in the Under-15, Under-16 and Under-19 categories must also submit three years of school mark sheets or a school leaving certificate.
All participants are required to report at 8:30 am, wear white playing attire and bear their own expenses. A fitness test will form part of the selection process. The NCA encouraged aspiring cricketers across Nagaland to participate in the trials.
