PM SHRI Government High School (GHS), Yangphi, organised the Science and Maths Fair 2026 on June 20 under the theme, “Think like a Scientist, Solve like a Mathematician, Create for a Better Tomorrow.”

Junior Engineer, Department of Power, Kiphire, Er. S. Thsaliba Sangtam attended the event as the special guest. Commending the school for the initiative, he said such programmes promote scientific creativity and help develop a scientific temperament among students. Referring to inventor Thomas Alva Edison, he urged participants to remain curious and persistent, noting that “failures are stepping stones to success.”
The fair featured scientific models, exhibits and competitions showcasing students’ creativity and problem-solving abilities. Team Eta won the senior category Science Exhibition, while Team Mu secured first place in the junior category. In the Mathematics Quiz Competition, Team Blue Polygon and Team Red Integers emerged winners in the senior and junior categories, respectively.
