The meeting commenced with a review of the minutes of the previous meeting, followed by a discussion on the Action Taken Report.

In a landmark humanitarian initiative, the board resolved that every department in the district will adopt at least two tuberculosis (TB) patients and provide them with nutritional support.

To streamline funding for the initiative, the board decided that financial contributions for nutritional support would be collected by District Planning Officer N. Chuba Phom and officially handed over to the Medical Department through the DPDB.

The board also approved applications for the registration of three local societies: the Society for Economic Elevation and Development (SEED), Changdang Village; MI-Tzü Sustainable and Conservation Society, Alongkima; and Falcon Club, Mangkolemba.

The session also featured presentations on social awareness and drug prevention alongside departmental updates. Dr. Madhavi R, IAS, Assistant Commissioner and Nodal Officer for the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), briefed the members on the observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The Executive Engineer of the Water Resources Department delivered a PowerPoint presentation on the department’s ongoing activities and infrastructure projects.

The house entrusted the Rural Development Department with presenting its activities at the next board meeting.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the Deputy Commissioner, who expressed gratitude to all board members for their cooperation and financial support towards achieving a TB-free district.
