Rescued Slow Loris released at Sukhai

According to the Zunheboto District Tourism Association (ZTDA), formerly known as the Nagaland Tourism Association (Zunheboto), the rescued animal was responsibly handed over to the association for appropriate care and assessment. After consultation and necessary evaluation, the Slow Loris was released to ensure its welfare and contribute to ongoing wildlife conservation initiatives in the district.

The ZTDA expressed appreciation to Yepthomi and the people of Sukhalu Village for their responsible action and commitment to wildlife protection. It also highlighted the importance of community participation in conserving the region’s rich biodiversity.

The association urged the public to report injured, distressed or displaced wildlife to the appropriate authorities instead of keeping wild animals as pets.
