The Deputy Commissioner of Chümoukedima has issued a public notice inviting claims and objections from individuals or landowners whose properties fall within the proposed Right of Way (RoW) of the NH-29A Pimla Junction to Mhainamtsi stretch.

The notice has been issued in compliance with an order of the Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench, dated June 3, 2026, in PIL No. 1/2024. The court directed the Deputy Commissioner to ascertain whether landowners whose lands fall within the proposed Right of Way intend to claim rights over such lands in the future and to submit a compliance report.

Accordingly, all persons claiming any interest in land falling along the NH-29A alignment from Pimla Junction to Mhainamtsi in Chümoukedima district have been asked to submit their claims or objections to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner within 30 days from the date of publication of the notice.

Claimants must furnish their name, address and contact details, along with a description and location of the land, the nature of their claim or interest, copies of supporting documents, if available, and a duly executed undertaking stating whether they intend to claim any right over the land falling within the proposed Right of Way in the future.

For further information, the public may contact the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Chümoukedima, during office hours.
