The Nagaland State Government, along with the rest of the country, will be taking part in the interaction with the Prime Minister with beneficiaries of government schemes and programmes on May 31.

 

In celebration of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate the Indian Independence, the PM will interact with beneficiaries of about sixteen schemes/progammes spanning nine Ministries/Departments of the Government of India.

 

The state level function will be held in Kohima, and the district level functions will be held at all the district headquarters from 9:30 am onwards. The state level function will be held at State Cultural Hall, Kohima and will be presided over by Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister, Nagaland and also attended by Ministers and Advisors. The district level functions will be presided over by the respective Chairman of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB).

 

A press release from the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Mokokchung informed that all the necessary arrangements for the program have been made. The District Level Function in Mokokchung will be held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall from 9:30 A.M. onwards.

 

The program will be presided by Imkong L. Imchen, MLA and Chairman, District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), Mokokchung and also attended by other dignitaries.

 

The District Level Programme in Mokokchung will be linked with the National Level Sammelan at 10:55 A.M. when the Prime Minister will be live from Shimla interacting with the beneficiaries.

 

During National Level Sammelan, the Prime Minister will release the 11th instalment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi and also interact with some of the beneficiaries spread across the country through video-conferencing, the release said.

 

The Sammelan is one of the largest ever single-event nationwide interaction spanning all districts, wherein the PM will interact with beneficiaries of schemes like Pradhan Mantri AwaasYojana (both Grameen & Urban), Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, POSHAN Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission (both Grameen & Urban), Jal Jeevan Mission & AMRUT, Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Scheme, One Nation One Ration Card, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Ayushman Bharat PM Jan ArogyaYojana, Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centre, and Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana.

 

The national Sammelan will be telecast live through Doordarshan on its national and regional channels. Provisions have also been made to webcast the national program through MyGov for which people need to register themselves. It can also be viewed through other social media channels viz., YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

 

“It is expected that this interaction will not only highlight the people-centric approach of these schemes leading to ease of living for citizens but will also enlighten the Government on the aspirations of the people and ensure that no one is left behind in the nation’s march to progress,” the release said.
