The District Welfare Officer, Mokokchung, Department of Social Welfare, has informed old-age, widow and disability pensioners under the National and State schemes who have not withdrawn their pension benefits for 2025-26 during the payment period from June to August 2026 that a grace period has been provided until September 15, 2026, to draw their benefits.
According to the department, the payment will be closed “on completion of three months after the commencement of payments” as per the guidelines.
The department has cautioned that “no further payment will be made after the Grace Period”.
The District Welfare Officer has therefore urged all eligible pensioners who have not yet withdrawn their benefits for the financial year 2025-26 to avail themselves of the grace period before the deadline.
