Tuli, June 10 (MTNews): One-day Consultative meeting cum Interaction session for the farmers and field day was organized by Sub-Divisional Agriculture Office Tuli, Department of Agriculture, Nagaland in collaboration with Community Educational Centre Society, Dimapur sponsored by ATMA Mokokchung conducted on 10 June 2022 at FRMCA Hall Tuli town, Mokokchung.
Subonenba Longkumer CECS director/ MD The Naga Farm gave the key note address where he emphasized on improving the farming technique and knowing the importance of farming depending on the season and market demand. He also enlightened the farmers to take advantage of technology and benefit by the services of various schemes for their agriculture development.
Speaking on the occasion Amongla C. SDAO, Department of Agri Tuli highlighted various schemes under Agriculture department for the farmers and the improved ways to conserve water for irrigation purpose. She also spoke about the importance of easy cash crop farming and the ways for processing and storing of food. She also suggested the practice community farming.

Manager, Cooperative Bank Tuli; Dr. Sentitula, IFS Divisional Forest Officer Mokokchung; Bendang Yaden, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies, Mokokchung; Imtisenla ACTO (Agronomy), KVK, Yisemyong and Dr. Toshiwati Farm Manager, Veterinary Dept. Tuli were the resource persons.
The program was followed by an interactive discussion. Inputs like disease management of swine, corn and soya bean processing unit, the need of easy cash crop farming were discussed. The aim of the meeting was to connect with the farmers and address their concerns.
Altogether 145 farmers and concerned officials from the Sub-Divisional Agriculture Office Tuli,Community Educational Centre Society, Dimapur, KVK Yisemyong and ATMA Tuli block participated in the consultative meeting.
