In the corridors of power, amid naked political posturing and manoeuvring, a stark truth emerges, – our leaders, once champions of the people, now stand accused of betraying the very essence of Naga unity and nation-building. This is not merely a record for the history books; it’s a heartfelt cry for accountability, penned by one who refuses to be silenced or complacent.

Today, as we witness the erosion of moral integrity and the relentless pursuit of personal gain at the expense of our collective future., we must confront the uncomfortable truth: our leaders have strayed from the path of righteousness. They have become masters of manipulation, entangled in the web of corrupt electoral politics, where loyalty is bought and sold, and principles are discarded like yesterday’s news.

The involvement of Naga National Workers in this sordid game doesn’t just tarnish their legacy; it plunges a dagger into the heart of Naga unity. For too long, they have danced to the tune of power-hungry politicians, forsaking the sacred trust bestowed upon them by the people they claim to serve. Their hands, once raised in solidarity, now bear the stain of their brethren’s blood, sacrificed at the altar of ambition.

I pose a series of questions to challenge the moral conscience of the children and spouses of these fallen leaders

1. Does he stand with the people, or stand against them?

2. Is his contribution to the nation greater than the destruction he has wrought upon Naga unity?

3. Does he serve the interests of the nation, or serve his own selfish desires?

4. Does he flaunt his ill-gotten wealth, obtained through the exploitation of the very people he claims to represent?

5. Does he listen to the cries of the oppressed, or does he silence them with the barrel of a gun?

6. Does he respect the sovereignty of the people, or does he wield power like a dictator?

7. Does he see himself as a master or a servant of the people?

8. Has he grown fat out of the spoils of corruption, while his people languish in poverty?

9. Does he bow to his political overlords, or does he stand firm for the principles of justice and righteousness?

10. Does he pledge allegiance to the Naga nation, or does he sell his soul to the highest bidder?

11. Does his actions sow seeds of peace, or sow seeds of division and destruction?

12. Does he accept blood money from politicians, or does he fight for the true interests of your people?

13. Is his wealth earned through honest toil, or is it stained with the tears and sweat of the downtrodden?

14. Does he seek to unite the Nagas, or does he thrive on division and discord?

15. Does his actions inspire hope, or breed despair and disillusionment?

16. Does he understand the true meaning of ‘Nagalim for Christ,’ or does he pervert it for his selfish ends?

17. Does he live in luxury while his people suffer, or does he share in their struggles?

18. Does he worship God, or worship power and wealth?

19. Do you consider yourself superior to the children of Naga villagers, or do you recognize their inherent worth?

20. Can he sleep at night knowing the suffering he has caused, or does his conscience keep him awake?

21. Does he have the courage to confront the truth, or will he continue to hide behind a facade of righteousness?

This is not just a call to action; it’s a call to conscience. For too long, our leaders have hidden behind a veil of self-righteousness, shielded from accountability by their own arrogance and hubris. But truth, ultimately, cannot remain concealed. The people see through their lies, and they clamour for justice

In the end, it is not the trappings of wealth or power that will define his legacy, but the legacy of integrity and honour that he leaves behind. The choice is his: stand with the people to be remembered as a champion of justice, or stand against them to be consigned to the dustbin of history.
