Impur, February 14 (MTNews): A prayer program for the Ao candidates standing in the election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly was organized by ABAM on February 14 in Impur. The program was attended by the ABAM Executive members, ABAM Clean Election Movement committee, and 23 Ao candidates.

“The program was held to ask God’s blessing for all the candidates as they prepare for the forthcoming 14th NLA Election to be held on February 27, 2023, and appeal to them to maintain Christian disciplines by doing things that honor God and people,” and update from ABAM Impur said.
“All the speakers encouraged the candidates to safeguard our nation from all fates that are unprecedentedly knocking at our doors,” it said.
“As good members of ABAM and children of God, never compromise your identity for any reason. The cry of our people has become the paramount need and if you become deaf to the cry of our people, you become deceivers of our land. And therefore, be the ones that speak for the rights of our people even if you are alone,” it further said.
In the end, Rev Dr Mar Pongener, the Executive Secretary, ABAM referring to Daniel 4:17 appealed to all the Candidates saying that God gives the Kingdom to whom He pleases, and reminded them to seek His will at this time of preparation. He further said that human endeavors without God’s will ends in doom and, therefore, he said, “Always ask God to direct your ways.” The program concluded with a special prayer for all the candidates.
